NorthPark Center is an enclosed upscale shopping mall located in Dallas, Texas. Opened in 1965 at the intersection of Northwest Highway and North Central Expressway, it spans 2 million square feet and is recognized as the largest shopping mall in the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex. It was developed by Raymond Nasher and is noted for its distinctive architecture and integrated public art collection.
The mall features over 200 stores and has been named one of the 'Seven Retail Wonders of the Modern World' by the International Council of Shopping Centers. A major expansion in 2006 doubled the size of the center, adding a new collection of specialty shops and a continuous circulation loop. The expansion also introduced 'CenterPark,' a 1.4-acre landscaped garden featuring seasonal flowers, live oaks, and art sculptures.
NorthPark Center is anchored by major retailers including Macy's, Dillard's, Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, and Eataly. The center also houses a 15-screen AMC multiplex and Arhaus. Beyond shopping and dining, the mall hosts a Dallas Public Library branch called Bookmarks, which is the first children’s library in the United States to be located within a shopping center.
